Scavenger hunts

A scavenger hunt the size of your whole city.

A Roamli scavenger hunt turns real streets, landmarks, and hidden corners into challenges you complete from your phone's browser — solo or as a team, racing everyone else to the top of a live leaderboard.

How you play

How a Roamli scavenger hunt works

1

Join with a code

Every hunt has a lookup code. Enter it on the Explore page — or just tap the hunt's link — and you're in. No app store, no download: any phone with a browser is a game controller.

2

Complete challenges

Zones light up on your map, each hiding a challenge. Photograph a mural, answer trivia about a landmark, or film a quick video when you find the spot — then move on to the next zone.

3

Climb the leaderboard

Every completed challenge earns points, and the standings update as you play. Stroll it like a walking tour or sprint the map in a team scavenger hunt — first place is always in sight.

No app required

Skip the app store entirely.

Most scavenger hunt apps lose half the group before the first clue — someone's phone is full, someone won't download one more thing. Roamli runs in the browser: open the link, enter the code, play.

  • Works on any phone, tablet, or laptop
  • Pause and resume any time — competition events run on the clock
  • Photo submissions get reviewed, so points mean something
  • Thousands of challenges live around the world
For creators

Make your own scavenger hunt.

The engine behind every hunt on this page is open to you. Drop challenges anywhere on the map — photo missions, video moments, trivia — group them into an event in the Roamli portal, and share one link. If it happens somewhere, it can be a game.

Your first clue is waiting.

Find a public hunt near you and play it today — or build your own and let someone else discover your city.
